What this means for you:
• Completion of UETDRRF004 Perform rescue from a live LV panel remains valid after the transition
• If you attend a UETDRRF004 Perform rescue from a live LV panel class (on or before 13/10/2025), you must complete all online learning, in class assessments and provide your USI within three months of your class date. If you do not complete these requirements in time, you will need to re-enrol in UETDRMP018 Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel

Course Overview:
The Low Voltage Rescue and Provide CPR course would benefit those working in the electrical industry. The course provides the skills and knowledge required to perform a rescue from live low voltage (LV) electrical apparatus in an electrical environment. It includes the organisational workplace requirements for the inspection and use of live LV panel rescue equipment, and how it applies to electricity supply industry (ESI) workers and/or electrical industry workers to meet work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS), mobility and mutual aid requirements.

This course satisfies training requirements across a range of community and workplace settings and includes:
• DRSABCD St John Action Plan
• Recovery Position, including infant and adult
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with ARC Guidelines
• Access and operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) during a cardiac arrest
• Prepare to perform rescue procedures from live LV panel
• Carry out rescue from live LV panel
• Complete the LV panel rescue procedure

Certification:

The Low Voltage Rescue and Provide CPR course combines two units of competency. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be issued with a statement of attainment (certificate) for the following units:
• HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• UETDRRF004 Perform rescue from a live LV panel (for classes until 13/10/2025)
• UETDRMP018 Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel (for classes from 14/10/2025)

Course Duration:
4.5 hours in class and online learning (approx. 3 hours)

Delivery Method: Face-to-Face and Online Learning

Course Requirements
This course requires basic skills in language, learning and literacy. You will need:
• A valid USI to be issued certificate upon successful completion
• A basic understanding of spoken and written English
• The ability to write English and complete a form
• The ability to count and identify numbers up to 100
• The ability to navigate a computer or mobile device

Physical Fitness
A basic level of physical fitness is required to complete this course. The class contains regular floor-based activities. Reasonable adjustments are available for practise, but you must complete assessments on the floor to pass.
