Course Overview:
Designed for those who work in the electrical industry, this course equips participants with the practical skills and knowledge to safely perform a rescue from a live low voltage (LV) electrical panel and provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with WHS/OHS requirements.

You will learn how to identify and manage electrical hazards, safely access and operate low voltage panels, and correctly use rescue equipment. The course also covers casualty assessment, scene management, and CPR techniques in line with current Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

This course meets the training requirements for electricity supply industry (ESI) workers and other electrical industry professionals, ensuring you are prepared to respond safely and effectively in workplace and community settings.

What You Will Learn:
The course includes:
• DRSABCD St John Action Plan
• Recovery positions, including adult and infant
• Perform CPR in accordance with ARC guidelines
• Access and operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Prepare for and perform rescue procedures from a live LV panel
• Complete the LV panel rescue procedure safely and effectively

Certification:
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for the following units:
• HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• UETDRMP018 Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel

Course Duration and Delivery:

• 4.5 hours of combined in-class training and online learning (approx. 3 hours online)
• Delivered through face-to-face instruction and online learning

Course Requirements
Participants should have:
• Basic skills in language, literacy, and numeracy
• A valid USI for certification
• Basic understanding of spoken and written English, ability to complete forms, and count to 100
• Ability to navigate a computer or mobile device

Physical Fitness:
A basic level of physical fitness is required, as the course includes floor-based activities. Reasonable adjustments are available, but participants must complete assessments on the floor to successfully pass.
