HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid
Full day course + online learning.
The accredited HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Course will enable you to provide appropriate first aid procedures and basic life support skills if you need to assist in a first aid emergency.
The course covers:
- CPR & defibrillation
- Injury management
- Allergic reactions
- and more.
This unit satisfies the training requirements across a range of community and workplace settings.
HLTAID009 - Provide CPR
3.5 hours in class + online learning.
The accredited HLTAID009 Provide CPR Course is a short course designed to refresh you on how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
The course covers:
- Regulations and codes of practice
- CPR & defibrillation
- DRSABCD
- Chain of survival
St John WA recommends that you refresh your CPR skills every 12 months.
HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
Full day course + online learning.
The accredited HLTAID012 course contains the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults.
The course covers:
- CPR & defibrillation
- Respond to emergencies
- CPR considerations
- Manage common injuries/illnesses.
This unit is suited to those working with children.
Low voltage rescue and Provide CPR
HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
UETDRRF004 Perform rescue from a live LV panel
4.5 hours in class + online learning.
The accredited Low voltage rescue and Provide CPR first aid course is suited to someone working with electrical equipment.
The course covers:
- CPR procedures for adults and infants
- Rescue procedures for live LV panel
- Safe approach distances and equipment placement
- Hazards assessment and isolation procedures.

Non accredited - Tiny Tots First Aid
3.5 hours in class.
Learn the vital skills you need to know to look after a new-born, toddler or infant. This course is suited to new parents, grandparents or someone looking after children.
The course covers:
- Infant & Child CPR
- Trauma management for injuries
- Fever & febrile convulsions
- Common illness and injuries.

St John Safe
Not sure what your workplace needs?
The St John Safe service helps to take the hard work out of first aid compliance. It can be confusing for an organisation to know exactly what they need to do to be first aid compliant, which is where a St John Safe assessment comes in handy! The assessment of your workplace will help determine appropriate first aid training, equipment and systems required at your workplace.
Once everything is in place, you will be endorsed as being St John Safe. A way of identifying and communicating to employees, clients and the public that you have the right first aid training, equipment and systems in place to deal with an emergency situation.
